The Night Stalker was good, but he will always be the father in A Christmas Story for me.
It's strange, in my mind, how I had the two roles so segregated. I had to mull it over for a second, when I first read that in an article, but then I thought ... Sure ... it's the same actor. I never flashed back to the Kolchak character, in all the times I enjoyed A Christmas Story.
And I was sort of like .. What are they talking about? ... when they mentioned him as Mike Hammer... but that role was in 1958 .. so I guess that is understandable .. ;-)
