If I were living at the red dot in the upper right portion of this graphic, I would be all in favor of this new earthquake warning system. If my calculations are correct, the people living there, 18 seconds from the epicenter of the quake, experienced an ground slip of about 52.5 feet, that happened from about 0.5 to 5 kilometers underground.
