Goodbye, Mr. Miyagi
Goodbye, Mr. Miyagi - Nov 25, 2005 - E! Online News
He was Arnold from "Happy Days" to kids of the '70s .... Mr. Miyagi from "Karate Kid" to kids in the '80s, ... and the voice of the Emperor in Disney's "Mulan" to kids in the '80s ......
Sadly, actor, comedian Pat Morita has passed away.......
Funny how some people give you so many enjoyable memories through their contributions to film and television .....
I was looking for things not pertaining to the two major things, I suppose Mr. Morita was best known for, i.e. "The Karate Kid" series of movies, and his role on "Happy Days" and I found an independant movie that is not listed in the Internet Movie Database listing on his life, HERE.
The film is called "Only the Brave", and it is about one of the all Nisei combat units that fought in Europe.
They tell all about it HERE and if you read it, you can find out about one of the 10 most significant battles of WWII, and find out about a road named Rue de Honolulu ...............
BTW ... Pat Morita was placed in an internment camp for U.S. citizens of Japanese descent, during WWII ..... unlike the U.S. citizens of Japanese descent depicted in the movie.
