The moons Romulus and Remus orbit the asteroid 87 Sylvia. Detailed observations of their orbits have lead scientists to conclude that 87 Sylvia is a " rubble pile " asteroid with a density of 1.2 times that of water. It's possible that up to 60% of the asteroid is empty space.
